The kitties are going for their first vaccinations tomorrow.  I wanted to have everyone go together, but I don't trust that they aren't nursing a bit from Baby, so her vaccinations will have to wait.

Here are some pictures of cute kitties.

I took everyone out on their leashes/harnesses onto my balcony. That was suprisingly uneventful. The more interesting parts took place when I was trying to sctually get the harnesses on the kittens! Out of necessity, I've developed a talent for catching them in mid-air.

Anyway, I could tell they weren't as interested in their usual toys (ripping up my plants was a good sign), so I fixed them something new. Behold:

Oh yeah, I clipped Moo-face's front claws for the first time, and he didn't mind at all! 🙂

whenever i get boxes, i usually give them to the kitties.

They all play together now. A common scene is Baby taking advantage of her relative size and beating on one of the kittens, as the other goes for her tail.

Update on Baby

Baby is still in need of a home.  Today I'll be taking her to the pet store with some others from the Cat Rescue Network.  I'll be hanging out there with her for the afternoon, hoping that people who come in will want to adopt her.  If not, she'll still come home with me, though 🙂

Last night was the first night she didn't yowl her pants off.  She was really getting good with all the practise, down to enunciating each syllable of her horny, plaintive call.

I still can't vaccinate or spay her because she is still nursing the kittens (the vet's office will only spay after first vaccinations are given.)  I tried to separate them, but that only lasted for a day before we all went crazy.  This is not the sort of thing that can be done in a 1 bedroom apartment.  Besides, I would have to do it for a couple of weeks, and I don't even want to try it.

I might have to wait until she is adopted before she can be vaccinated, if she doesn't fully wean them on her own.  They barely suckle at all, but they still try every day.
